This week our Feature on Author: Ciara Knight. She has a new book out, Winter Harbor Secrets.
Ciara Knight is a USA Today and Publishers Weekly bestselling author who writes heart-tugging, faith-filled romance with a dash of hope and a whole lot of love. When she's not wrangling swoon-worthy cowboys or crafting small-town drama, she's navigating life as a proud mom of three spirited (and now grown!) boys.
In a major plot twist no one saw coming, Ciara and her tech-savvy husband recently traded in their empty nest for open waters—purchasing a boat to live aboard full-time. Together, they’re setting sail on the greatest adventure yet: the next chapter of life, love, and a few waves of inspiration. Anchors aweigh!

What do you normally read?
I’m an eclectic reader. I try to read some of the books my grown son is reading so we can talk about them—right now I’m reading Red Rising.
Yes, Red Rising really made me stop and think. It explores a corrupt government within a science-fiction society, and it definitely gives you pause. I enjoy books that are thought-provoking. Another standout was The Women by Kristin Hannah, which left a lasting emotional impact.
Who is your favourite author/authors?
That is a tough question. I think I have a favorite author in every genre. It's usually whatever author I'm reading at the moment.
Tell us about your book...
Winter Harbor Secrets was inspired by our decision to move aboard our boat and start traveling. Through romantic suspense, it explores the uncertainty, hidden dangers, and emotional challenges that come with stepping into a completely new life—where the water may be beautiful, but secrets run deep.

I like to get to know my readers better, too. :) I want a reverse post hearing from all of you.
DeleteIt's good to read widely. New ideas can come from anywhere.
ReplyDeleteYes, Liz. They really can! We just were put back in the water and the minute they lowered our boat (home) down, the kitchen sink started spitting up black icky water. I'm like, "Pull her back up!" I'm now cleaning my kitchen from top to bottom. haha. I think that needs to go into the next book.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on Winter Harbor Secrets! I also enjoy thought-provoking reads that give you something to ponder afterwards.
ReplyDeleteSounds like we enjoy the same kind of stories, Rowena.
DeleteI do that with my eldest as well.. such a great way to bond.
ReplyDeleteThis book sounds fun! I haven't read a romantic suspense in a hot minute, so I might need to snag this one up.
