Ball Gowns or plain dresses: Depends on the event! Both can be fun to wear in the right setting.
Favorite place to write: Ah, this changes with the temperament of the muse! :-) In the winter, my favorite place is a chair in my bedroom that's next to a fireplace. There's lots of light there, too, and it makes me happy. Sometimes when I'm in the zone, I can write absolutely anywhere. Other times, I'm Goldilocks, searching for the just right chair and locations. The muse can be a finicky little thing! :-)
I love cold and snowy. Sunshine sending diamonds across new fallen snow is one of my favorite things!
The one book that everyone should read is The Awakening by Kate Chopin
I'm currently working (almost done with!) a duet with Amy Ruttan set in Venice. I'm having fun with it!
The Prince and The Midwife is part of an 8 book continuity, and I'm happy to be a part of such a great series! The hero is a jet-setting Ob/gyn who also happens to be a prince,
which means that everything he does that sniffs of scandal ends up in the tabloids. He's gone to LA to hide out for a while, and ends up working at his good friend's clinic that caters to the rich and famous. My heroine is a midwife there, and for the past few years, has been working hard and mostly avoiding others because of tragedy she blames herself for. Sparks fly between the two of them, and at first they're of the annoyed variety! But as the two spend time together, they begin to share secrets they've held close. With a painful past behind her, can Gabriella let herself find happiness with her prince?

I really like when a couple don't hit it off right away and are annoyed with each other. The banter between them is usually quite funny.
