1.    How did you pick the title for your books?

My publisher, Harlequin Mills & Boon, chooses my titles. I’ve stopped trying to think up decent titles and just label my manuscripts with the character names (eg. DemitriAndNatalie)

2. How did you choose the setting for your books?

In this book, I knew I wanted Natalie to dream of having a love affair. The best place of that to happen had to be Paris! Setting is always something that grows out of the story, I think. I try to find fresh places to visit—I’ve only briefly set part of a book in South America (Venezuela) for instance and would like to do more there, so exploring new places is one thing that influences my choice of setting.

3. How did you come up with the names for your heroes and heroines?

I need to create myself a database of all the names I’ve used! I find I keep reaching for the same names or names that begin with A for my heroines, for instance. I have a book that sorts names by nationality so if I decide my hero is Spanish, I start there. Then I go to the internet and look for something that sounds masculine and strong and hopefully means something relevant to the story.

4.What makes your heroes irresistible?

I like to think its that theyre very alpha, yet very protective of anyone weaker than they are. They tend to be earthy and sexual, well toned and well dressed, but also capable of laughing at themselves and willing to admit theyre wrong (begrudgingly).

5. Share some random facts about yourself..

I’m Canadian, I married my high school sweetheart, I began writing thirty years ago on a rented IBM Selectrix typewriter, I work on a Mac now (and love it!) I believe in affirmations.

6. Your advice to new writers.

Writing and publishing are two different things. If you love to write, write! No one can ever take that away from you. It’s yours and rejection by a publisher doesn’t mean you shouldn’t write. If you want to publish through a publisher, and you are getting rejection letters, remember that publishing is a business and they are making a business decision on their side. It isnt personal and you should always keep trying.

Tell us about your book…

Heres the blurb. Its actually the fourth and final book in my Makricosta Dynasty series. They go like this:
  1. No Longer Forbidden?
  2. More Than A Convenient Marriage?
  3. An Heir To Bind Them
  4. Seduced Into The Greek’s World

"I want you, Natalie. Not after five o'clock. Now."
Every woman has a fantasy she only dares dream about in the dead of night. But for single mom
Natalie Adams, the reality of an affair in Paris with infamous billionaire Demitri Makricosta surpasses even her wildest dreams!
Demitri is astounded by fiery Natalie. One night isn't enough, so to quench his lust he insists she become his mistress. The closer Natalie gets to emotions Demitri has kept locked away, the more he distracts her with dazzling gifts and luxury holidays to ensure that seduction remains the only thing between them…

Thanks for hosting me today!

    1. Thanks Helen. If you're in North America, the first two are packaged as a 2in1, so basically a buy one get one. Thanks for coming by!

  3. I'm terrible at titles too, so I guess I need a publisher to make those decisions for me. Sounds like a great read.

    1. Ha! Thanks Liz. I'm working on a short story that I want to offer as a free read and I think I've settled on a title, but... groan! It's super hard!

  5. Thanks Jemi and yes, it really is. I can't stress that enough. Think about it. If you quit because you think you'll never make it, then for sure you'll never make it, but as long as you're in the game, you have a chance.

  7. Dani, I loved loved loved this book, read it yesterday (as you've probably seen by twitter) and it was amazing, the perfect Presents style in my opinion. i havent read all the siblings stories but i sure am now! I loved how Dimitri was a bit of a rascal but awesome at the same time. Natalie, I didnt have one complaint about her and thought she represented the single mum perfectly! This will be well re read many times again. Oh I also loved the humour. There was just a smattering but enough for me to giggle here and there.
