Do you
listen to music?
Always. I know this sounds weird but I can’t concentrate when it’s
quiet. I have different soundtracks for the books I am writing and for the
scenes in the book. To get me started the first song I play is Mission
Impossible and that always gets me started.
I will read anything and everything. I love anything with
a good plot and off course it has to be steamy. I enjoy medical murder
mysteries and paranormals, especially if they have a vampire. Now if only I can
find a good medical with a vampire, I may never get any writing of my own done.
How
many books do you read at once? More than one?
Would you hate me if I told you that I can read more than one book at once?
Although I tell people my fox terrier has ADHD, it’s actually me that has it. I
have such eclectic tastes that what I read depends on the mood I am in. I also
read very quickly so I tend to go on book binges. It’s like an alcoholic binge
but only booksJ
What
are you reading now?
I am reading Amy Andrew’s-One Night She Would Never Forget and
Kathy Reichs- Monday Mourning. Like I said, eclectic tastesJ
What
is your greatest struggle as a writer?
Finding time to write. Every writer will tell you that
the learning never stops once you get your first contract. I have to be
disciplined and motivated to get myself to write every chance I get, and learn
my craft the rest of the time. There’s always something better to do, someone
better to read. But it’s worth it when you’re able to go on a journey with your
characters and learn something new along the way.
Thank you so much for having me. I look forward to hearing from you. So let's chat!
Kamy has two recent releases!
BREATHE AGAIN
After a tour at war and countless shifts in the hospital emergency room, Nick knows that no matter how hard he tries to change things, people are the same. So when his estranged wife Skylar reveals that she stopped taking birth control and is pregnant, he shouldn’t be shocked. Betrayal burns and panic sets in as memories of his shattered home life remind him that he can’t play happy families.
Skylar knows one thing—she’s head over nurse’s shoes in love with the stubborn and unemotional Nick. She loves him enough to believe in the man he is, even though he can’t see it for himself and hides behind a mask. As he calls their child “hers” and tries to live apart from her, Skylar’s heart breaks, but she refuses to give up hope that he’ll do the right thing.
When disaster strikes, Skylar realizes Nick might never change, so she risks everything and sets him free, hoping he’ll come back, for her and their baby. Is heat, passion and a vow enough to seal this marriage and make them a family?
