We have South African born, New Zealand author Kamy Chetty and she brought a gift for you!
Kamy Chetty around the web:
Over to Kamy Chetty now...
What do you love most about writing?
I’m tossing between making out with hot guys and getting lost in my own
world. Give this girl a break. I am a happily married woman who doesn’t stray.
What do you think makes a good story?
A
good story has to have emotion. As a reader what I look for is to get lost in
the book. Do you remember those nights when you couldn’t put that book down
because you had to see if they made it in the end, well to me that’s what it’s
about. It’s about the tension and making sure that you deliver on that
emotional journey.
You write about exotic places – what is your ideal holiday destination?
Gosh, I would love to visit everywhere. I grew up reading about lots of
places but I am such a sucker for romance that I want to visit Greece and Rome
and Paris. I want to go to Egypt and see those tombs. Then maybe get lost in
the Amazon forest with some hunky guy. Sorry what the question again?
Anywhere you haven’t travelled you would like to go?
Again everywhere. I haven’t travelled a lot, just in my books so if I
had the chance I would flit around the world. But I have to warn you, I don’t
do the hiking thing<grin>
What one item do you always pack when you travel?
My iPad off course. Not my
sexy nighty just the Ipad with all my books loaded on<sigh>
Tell us a little about your current release …..
I love Falling into Paradise because I had heaps of fun writing
it. It started out as a medical turned into a suspense and I am coming to grips
with the fact that while I called it off the charts hot- it’s erotica romance.
I never thought I could write hot sex scenes but I suppose having a
fascination for bad boys and hot bodies does come in handy.
This story is emotionally charged and sees the characters develop during
their journey to finding true love.
I will be giving away an eCopy of Falling Into Paradise to one lucky commenter here!
I've come to depend upon my iPad, too. Take it everywhere. Even if I don't have Wifi. lol

ReplyDeleteHey Jemi, we meet again;-). You know when I used to tell hubby about my dream to travel he used to look at me and say, but babe I brought you half way around the world, somehow moving house is not the same thing even if it is moving countries;-)
DeleteIt's nice to meet Kamy! I'm with her - there are many "everywheres" I'd like to travel to as well!
ReplyDeleteHi Karen I say dream and dream big;-) so glad you could stop by;-)
DeleteEmotion sure needs to be there and would be grand to travel everywhere, ipad is all one needs too.
ReplyDeleteI so agree about the emotion. The books and movies I can love the most are the ones that make me cry but has a great ending. It's because of the emotion the writer puts into it. Thanks for stopping by so great to meet you;-)
DeleteFun interview! It would be wonderful to be able to travel like that. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Dana thanks for dropping by and you are so right. Wish we had jobs that gave us paid vacations;-)
DeleteI take my ereader everywhere! Got to have all those books at my fingertips. And Egypt is one place I'd love to go...when it's a little less turbulent.
ReplyDeleteHi Shelly ereaders are just as good. I am slowly getting my teens and hubby used to ebooks;-). Thanks for the visit always a pleasure to meet new people;-)
DeleteGreat interview. I totally agree a good book needs powerful emotions! Love those kinds of stories.
ReplyDeleteHi Lynda you are so correct. The best stories have powerful emotions and hose are the times when I mad so lost in the book I get upset when people interrupt me;-) thanks for coming by;-)
DeleteHi Kamy, I would absolutely LOVE to see Greece and Rome one day. I love the stories that are set here because I dream of one day going to such exotic settings. And Spain. I think you're spot on about the emotion - it's exactly how I want to feel reading a book :)
ReplyDeleteHi Tash I think the Greek ruins would be a must.thanks for the visit;-)
DeleteWhen we travel we have to have a whole bag just for our wires and charging equipment. I'd love to be able to travel internationally and explore all those places too.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by. I think I'd like to make a bucket list of my fave places and make it my goal to visit;-)
DeleteGreat interview! I agree that without powerful emotions, readers won't want to keep turning the pages.
ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping by Sherry. I love it when I am so involved in the book I get sad that its about to end and I have to say goodbye;-)
DeleteVery cool! Getting lost in my own little world and visiting Egypt...yes, I can relate...
ReplyDeleteHi MJ so glad you came over. Must be those sheikhs too that had mein love with Middle East ;-)
DeleteEscapism is definitely my reason for reading and writing too.
ReplyDeleteHi Lynda you are so right, I might not have survived some of my tough days as a nurse if I didn't have that;-)
DeleteI always take either my Kindle or Ipad on a trip. I also want to visit so many places.
ReplyDeleteFantastic interview. It's great seeing Kamy here.
Thanks for coming to visit;-) I am beginning to love the idea of all my books carried on this little machine;-) not to bad to carry now lol
