Thanks Romance Book Haven for hosting me
today!
So Christmas is nearly upon us. If you are anything like me, you’ll be
rushing around like a mad thing trying to have everything organized before the
relatives descend and the shops close for Christmas Day. There are so many things I love about the lead
up to Christmas, even though it is such a busy time of year.
My husband comes from a large family so
there are lots of nieces and nephews to buy for. I relish trying to find something for each of
them that really suits each personality and passion. One of
my nieces is mad on horses, so I’ve discovered this great horsey
clothing label and have bought her a cute horseshoe shoulder bag and
T-shirt. One nephew has been nuts about
inserts and creepy-crawlies since he was a toddler (yes, he’s picked the right
country these. So many nasty little
things in Australia.). One year we found
him hunting in the garden for the ‘Easter’ Brown (we’d spotted a deadly Eastern Brown Snake earlier
that day!). He thought it delivered
chocolate Christmas eggs. This child has
every kind of bug catcher, relevant book and identification kit, so each year
it is a challenge to find something new that feeds his buggy passion.
Sienna De Luca will do anything to
save her family's hotel, and ruthless Italian businessman Antonio Moretti knows
it. With problems of his own, he proposes a marriage of convenience and plans to
use Sienna to secure his next business deal. But things don't go quite according
to plan.
In keeping with her part of the bargain, Sienna travels to Venice to be with Antonio, who introduces her to a life of great luxury and opulence. As befits the fiancĂ©e of the famous Antonio Moretti, Sienna is given a new wardrobe of designer gowns and outfits and instructed exactly how to behave when out in public. But after thinking he can manipulate her at will, Antonio begins to realize he has seriously underestimated Sienna, her intelligence, her skills, her courage – and her beauty. Unexpectedly, Sienna gets too close and when she discovers his dark secret, Antonio's perfectly planned life begins to unravel.

What special things do you like doing in
the days before Xmas? Would love to hear
and one commentator will receive a copy The
Convenient Bride.
Happy Christmas Everyone.
Eeek! How scary your nephew was searching for a deadly snake! I like searching for the "perfect" gift, too. Sometimes I actually find it :)
ReplyDeleteHi, Nas!
Hi Carol!
DeleteGood that you find that perfect gift when you look for it!
Thanks for coming by!
Yes Carol, it was very scary. The snake was over 2m long, so my nephew would have been in big trouble!! Have a great Christmas
DeleteI love finding the perfect presents for people, too :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like this convenient bride is going to make things a bit inconvenient for Antonio...
Hi Alexia!
DeleteThis is one inconvenient bride, heating and stirring things up for Antonio!
Yes Alexia, Antonio doesn't really get what he bargained for in Sienna!! Have a great Christmas!
ReplyDeleteHi Jennifer, Hi Nas,
ReplyDeleteAs I live in India, I was amazed to learn that many people here think that Christians spend Christmas day baking cakes. I learned to explain to people that baking is part of many people's Christmas preparation - but it's not part of mine, the trip to the bakery is. I just enjoy the special atmosphere of the season above all and enjoy time with the family.
I'm with you, Maria. I'm all for an easy Christmas - we are definitely trips to the bakery people!!
DeleteHello Jennifer and Nas,
ReplyDeleteI love to take my little girl to whatever Christmas movie is playing. After the movie, we shop and eat somewhere nice. Then we'll usually get a pedicure. She's eight-years-old, so I'm cherishing every Christmas before she grows up and leaves home.
Then Convenient Bride sounds like a mysterious story! I want to know what Antonio's secret is! Way to hook me w/your blurb. :)
Celeste, that sounds like a lovely day to spend with your daughter.
ReplyDeleteAntonio's secret is pretty heart-wretching. I had tears rolling down my face as I wrote the scene where Sienna finds out!!
Convenient Bride looks like a great book!
ReplyDeleteThe holidays are crazy for me! I'd love to clone myself and have about 10 of me to get everything done!
Thanks, Sherry. Cloning would certainly help at this time of year!
ReplyDeleteHi Jennifer! The Convenient Bride sounds like a great read.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm fascinated by food, too. :)
Oooh methinks Antonio is doomed to be ethralled by fiesty Sienna! Yay!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Christmas Jennifer!! Take care
x
Food is one of my greatest weaknesses, Talli!! Means I have to be in the gym all the time!
ReplyDeleteWell picked, Old Kitty!! I love Sienna's character. Even when put in an impossible position, she comes out fighting!
ReplyDeleteAnd the winner is.....Celeste Holloway - congratulations. Celeste, if you could please visit my website - www.jenniferstgeorge.com - and fill out the contact form, I'll organise to send you a copy.
ReplyDeleteThanks Nas and Romance Book Haven for hosting me. Lots of great comments and lots of fun!
Sounds like a lovely story.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I'll probably have a terrible time if I one day have a son like your nephew, Jennifer.
Terrified of creepy crawly things. :-)
I'm done with my holiday shopping and card giving. Phew. It was a hectic few weeks, but I like to be done early. I don't have to worry about cooking since I go elsewhere for dinner.
ReplyDeleteI love the cover and description.
