ITALIAN FOR BEGINNERS…
My bag is packed, my flight booked. While my student are all flapping about in a last minute panic about coursework that needs to be handed to their new teacher in the first week of term, I’ll be getting to grips with the rush hour in Rome, first day nerves and life in a foreign language.
If they think that because I’ll be surrounded by art, culture, high fashion and endless sunshine, I’ve got the best deal, well they may be right. At the moment I’m only concerned about where I’m going to live, how different this new school will be from Maybridge and will my new students like me.
Watch this space…
Sarah Gratton begins a new life in Rome, but to keep in touch with people back home she begins a blog, Italian for Beginners… In it she relates her personal odyssey as she track a family secret from the past to a future she could never have dreamed of in the arms of an Italian Conte.
FLIRTING WITH ITALIAN is available now in paper and eBook formats.
Also available for those hoping to write their own romance, Liz Fielding’s Little Book of Writing Romance and, coming in May, THE LAST WOMAN HE’D EVER DATE.
I think that Italy would make a wonderful place to live and be a great setting for a book. There's just so much history there that the contrast between the old world and the new could provide endless adventure and romance...not to mention the great clothes, fast cars, and beautiful people.
