Over to Natalie now...

Today marks the last stop in my blog tour for THE SEVEN-DAY TARGET. Writing and publishing a book has been an amazing experience, and I've had a blast visiting with bloggers and readers from different corners of the Internet. Here are a few things I've learned from this experience, in no particular order:

- Life can change with a single leap of faith. My life began to change the day I uploaded the first chapter of THE SEVEN-DAY TARGET and entered Mills & Boon's 2011 New Voices Competition. My heart was racing, my fingers were trembling, and I had loads of doubt – nothing was a given. Today THE SEVEN-DAY TARGET is released in Australia, which means that my little book has been sold on three continents. I think that's pretty darn cool.

- Writing is hard work. It turns out that dreaming about being a novelist is different from actually being one. Words don't always come out in the right order, and drafts of books don't always look pretty or make sense. I've rolled up my sleeves and worked as a real writer for the first time, and in the process, I've learned that magic happens in revisions. Lots and lots of revisions.

- Dreams are still important. Maybe I'm knee-deep in the hard work, but I still find plenty of time to dream about what I hope to accomplish in the future. I still love what I'm doing, and I'm incredibly fortunate to be able to say that.

- This won't be my last book! Writing my second book was a struggle (and a story for another day), but a week after THE SEVEN-DAY TARGET hit shelves, Harlequin Romantic Suspense offered me a two-book contract. So, I'm thrilled to say that you'll be seeing more of my books in the coming months. I can't wait to share them with you!

Thanks to all of you for coming on this journey with me!

xx ~ Natalie
