First published in 2020 she has become a very popular writer both in Australia and the US.
She loves to write. She has seven novels, three novellas, and a short story under her belt now.
She is happily married with two grown-up sons. And with four granddaughters and two kitty cats there is never a dull moment in her home.
- How do you come up with the ideas for new stories?
That’s a great question. I let my imagination take me. Sometimes a dream it. But usually, a story or real-life experience will take me on a walk and that what I love about writing.
- Does writer's block ever happen to you?
Occasionally. But not often.
- How do you/would you cope if/when it strikes?
I will do something boring like ironing or washing. That usually triggers my imagination.
- Of all the stories you've written, what's your favourite?
I love my first novel Always Louisa. I guest as it was my first. It holds a special place. But I adore my current story. The War Rings. It is based n a true story my mum told me. She lived in Amsterdam during the 2nd World War.
- Do you live in your' character's world while you write?
To some extent I do.I have conversations with them in my head so I can get to know them. I think a lot of authors do that. It’s a chance to really know where they are.
Could Marta revisit the tragedy befallen her family? Because telling them meant she would be reliving it all over again.
Were they ready for the truth?
